Civics for All, the Seal of Civic Readiness, and Participatory Budgeting at Quest to Learn
Quest to Learn is proud to partner with Civics for All and the New York State Education Department to provide students with meaningful opportunities to develop and demonstrate their civic knowledge, skills, and engagement. Through this partnership, students can earn the New York State Seal of Civic Readiness, a prestigious recognition of their commitment to civic participation and understanding.
The Class of 2025 was our first to earn this distinction, marking an exciting milestone in our school’s mission to empower students as active, informed citizens. In addition to the Seal program, Quest to Learn has implemented Participatory Budgeting in Schools, a cornerstone initiative of Civics for All that allows students to directly decide how a portion of the school’s budget is spent. By researching community needs, proposing projects, and voting on funding decisions, students experience democracy in action—learning that their voices truly shape their school and community.
